Jesse from Escondido Shelter
Jessie is a bit older (2-3 years) all black and a lover shy quiet type. I have never seen such a shy girl who will constantly try to be under your feet or touching you. In my old animal behavior days I think it was called thigmotropic (meaning has to be touching something) but he will basically want to be next to you and touching you all the time. He doesn’t have any of the shy dog type issues with people, more that he is afraid of other things. IT is possible he was hit by a car or something along those lines because he will walk on a leash once he trusts you and he will constantly trust almost anyone, but is scared of the world in general. But if you are with him, he is a pleasure, you just have to get used to his fraidyness. He doesn’t seem to be abused or anything because usually those guys will shy away from you, instead he comes right to you and touches you, it is very interesting to watch. He would be very good with children and appeared to do fine with other dogs. None of the scared dog issues like biting or anything like that, more of the opposite, which is funny to watch.
